Is it safe to shower/bathe in water from a well that needs an iron filter?

Old farm house on a well needs an iron filter, if you fill a tub you can see some discolorment and it has an odor, i’ve been told it’s safe to shower or bathe in but i’m still concerened because im pregnant and I have my 3 yr old here. yes , it’s fine. i live in a farmhouse that has been in my family for 100 years. we bathe/shower , wash dishes, and do laundry. and we haven’t had a problem since.
